PROUDLY MOVING CHULA VISTA AND ITS SURROUNDING CITIES

Chula Vista, Spanish words that translate to “beautiful view” in English is the name of a city in metropolitan San Diego. The name was derived from the location of the city in between the coastal mountain foothills and the San Diego foothills. It also happens to be on the 7th spot on the list of largest cities in Southern California. In the entire state of California, Chula Vista is the fourteenth largest city. And among all of the cities in the United States of America, it is the 74th largest. As at 2010, the census that was carried out stated that the population of Chula Vista is 243,916.

Chula Vista is located 12.1 kilometers away from San Diego and 12.1 kilometers from the Mexican border. The location of Chula Vista is in the middle of one of the most culturally diverse areas in the United States. The city also has a rich economy.

Chula Vista was founded in the early 19th century, and it is home to some popular tourist destinations in the United States such as the Mattress Firm Amphitheatre, the Living Coast Discovery Center, Chula Vista Marina and the Aquatica San Diego.

  1. LEMON GROVE

Lemon Grove is located in San Diego County and was incorporated in 1977. It is located south of La Mesa and east of Encanto. The population is about 24,000, and the city derived its name from the lemon orchard that was planted there over a century ago. The city is known for its recreational atmosphere and sports activities. It is houses the world’s biggest lemon which is a lemon sculpture located at the corner of Broadway and Lemon Grove Avenue. This sculpture, which is a major tourist attraction has a length of 10 feet and a width of 6 feet while weighing about 3000 pounds.

  1. EL CAJON

EL Cajon got incorporated in 1912, and it has a population of 92,089. El Cajon is a Spanish word which translates into English as “The Box” and is used to describe the valley location of the city right in the middle of the mountains. This is the largest city in eastern San Diego and Interstate 8 is the link between El Cajon and La Mesa and south of Santee.

Over the past couple of decades, El Cajon has undergone some developmental transformations. Some of the notable attractions in El Cajon include the annual Mother Goose Parade, Gillespie Field Regional Airport, and the Parkway Plaza mall.

  1. SANTEE

Santee is a suburban city located in San Diego, California. It was incorporated in 1980, and it has a population of 53,413. It makes up a part of the East County region, but it is 29 kilometers away from the Pacific Ocean. State Route 52 links the city to the coastline. The San Diego river also runs through the middle of the city.

Santee is a suburban community that has grown in strides in recent years. The community is now home to upscale housing, a recreational complex, shopping centers, and a corporate business park.

  1. LA MESA

La Mesa is located 14 kilometers east of Downtown San Diego in the southern part of California. Incorporated in 1912, La Mesa has a population of about 57,000 and its civic motto is “The Jewel of hue Hills.”

It is located in the center of the rolling hills of San Diego County. This city has a perfect climate, walkable and clean neighborhoods, easy links to the commercial and retail areas, and every other necessity that makes a place comfortable to live.

Beyond the geography of La Mesa, it is home to a people from different parts of the world, and it has been for more than a century. These are people who have numerous accomplishments to their names and have worked tirelessly to make the community the developed community that we have today. La Mesa is proof that beautiful places are sometimes hidden away in neighborhoods lined with trees. The friendly ambiance that greets you the moment you step foot into La Mesa is one of its kind. La Mesa is a wealthy city made up of wonderful treasures.
